Frontierer - Oxidised.

Bloody hell it's like being waterboarded by Malware!

…One of the thoughts that might go through your head whilst giving Frontierer’s latest handiwork a spin. Also, “Jesus, let this sonic terror never end!”. Oh you silly noise junkies, Christmas definitely came early this year! ‘Oxidised’ is glitchy and terrifying, much lower and heavier than ‘Unloved’ with plenty of heft and weight.

Frontierer is one man’s creative madness directly piped into five guys' brain factories for your audible pleasure. They delight in shoving you into a deep ravine strapped to frenzied riffs then pulling the cord at the last minute with a hook that sweeps you away. ‘Glacial Plasma’ has a dissonant vibe and its final chaotic moments call back to classic Nu-Metal noodling. ‘Oxidised’ also sees a “passing of the torch” with vocal and musical input from Will Haven and ion Dissonance; check out ‘Removal of the Copper Iris’ it’s fucking mind-bending!

‘Motherboard’ and ‘Daydark’ are a brutal treat; they’re relentlessly heavy. ‘Opaque Horizon’ builds us up with Frontierer’s own version of ‘melodic’, only to go full tilt into one of their biggest meltdowns to date with ‘Death /’. These guys have been pushing the envelope since their debut and ‘Oxidised’ is a shrieking, phosphorescent masterpiece to be enjoyed by anyone, anytime. That time is now.
