Scottish/Americans Frontierer have been shilling their noise/terror math frenzy for a number of years and the 'Unloved' album is an excellent snapshot of their abrasive sound. ‘Gower St' grabs you by the ankles and hauls you into the lake. Just as you catch your breath and swim toward the light, it headlocks you with one almighty chorus (what a riff!) and then clubs you with another. All the noise and chaos hooks you in deep, coming in at all angles. Well, if you buy the ticket, you take the ride.

Seattle's Black Breath issued a statement of damnation with 'Endless Corpse', a twisted retelling of man's first and greatest fall from grace, punctuated by a grave intro and slam power violence verses. The HM2 ghost is alive in these guys, a rusty nail dragged over the ears as galloping drums and guitars that trample you into the mud and leave you for dead. A potent manifesto of the fallibility of man. Play it loud!
